Gallery – Sixth Class
This month, Ms McGloin’s class made butter using cream and salt. They shook the cream for about 10 minutes until they could see the butter forming. They tried it out on some brown bread with jam!

In May, Ms Mc Gloin’s class put a lot of work into their Irish History Projects. They worked in groups on topics from Home Rule up to Irish Independence and the 1916 Rising.
They also had a lovely treat of Tayto sandwiches one afternoon!
Ms Brennan’s 6th Class enjoyed a brilliant tour to The Avon, Blessington where they participated in Kayaking, Archery, Ziplining, Orienteering, Team Building and Rock Climbing
6th Class have been learning all about The Oireachtas recently. We were so lucky to have a visit from Senator Emer Currie. She spoke to 6th Class all about Seanad Éireann and her work as a Senator. We really enjoyed her visit and learned so much. Special thanks to Sarah in Ms. Walsh’s class who organised the visit!
Ms. Walsh’s Green Team ready for the 6th Class football tournament! The whole class played brilliantly on the day and cheered each other on through every match. Special well done to Ms. Walsh’s girls who were the winning team on the day!
Ms Brennan’s class using laptops to gather and collate information to create a project on the 1916 rising. They also participated in the 6th class football blitz recently. The boys and girls team played very well with both teams scoring great goals.
Ms Mc Gloin’s class played in a mini football tournament with the other 6th Classes. We had a fantastic afternoon!

Ms Brennan’s class are participating in AgriAware’s Incredible Edibles program where they have sowed fruit and vegetables. Hopefully these will grow into beautiful food.
Ms Brennan’s class completed a project and work on International Women’s Day. The children used the laptops to research a women who inspired them and then used the work of Amedeo Modigliani to inspire them to draw portraits of their chosen woman
