Gallery – Fourth Class
Ms Brennan’s 4th Class learned all about Medieval Ireland and then designed and created Medieval Castles
Ms Alvey’s class were busy with some lovely art in preparation for the School Opening.They are pictured waving their flags on Friday morning. Well done to them all on a fabulous performance! Also pictured: their May Altar and lovely artwork of Mary as well as a few groups telling the weather forecast as Gaeilge!

Ms Keane’s class had a great month in March- World Book day, Seachtain na Gaeilge and had a play from the Draíocht in school. They still managed to learn about 3-d shapes and magnets!
Ms Alvey’s class created some funky Easter Bunnies and the Quiz Team enjoyed some pizza as a treat for all their hard work! We wish them the best of luck on Sunday in the RDS.

World Book Day art from Ms Brennan’s 4th class
Ms Alvey’s class enjoyed Book Week. We created book covers based on our favourite books and researched and wrote about our favourite authors. David Walliams was a popular choice! We also have a lovely Lent display in our classroom with our Lenten Kindness Candles.
Ms Aherne’s class have been busy researching Italy and creating team projects.They are all set to win a pizza making day at the end of the week!!

Ms Keane’s class planted crocuses in October and they have finally started peeking out. They had lots of fun with clay. They continued the tradition of making St Bridget’s crosses on the first of February.
Pancake Tuesday – Ms Alvey’s class enjoyed some pancakes after doing some procedural writing in English and also reading the instructions as Gaeilge.
Ms Alvey’s class made some lovely St Brigids Crosses, Valentines clay candle holders and created some portraits inspired by Cubism by Picasso.
Ms Brennan’s class completed Science projects on ‘The story of firsts’ which included learning about the first heart transplant, the first mobile phone and the first tools
Conor in Ms Brennan’s class completed a project on the flags of the world. He presented his project to the class and also discussed the different airlines that flew into each country.
The class then completed a flags of the world quiz.

Ms Alvey and the whole class are very proud of the boys who represented the school in the Credit Union Quiz. Well Done boys!

Ms Aherne’s class had fun ‘Coding around with Botley’
During January Ms Keane’s class designed their own towns and wrote about them in Irish. Then they typed up their descriptions.
They worked on winter trees and creating a Picasso inspired portrait in Art.

November has been another busy month in Ms Alvey’s class. Here are some pictures of them enjoying the Library, supporting France for the World Cup, remembering in November, their winter penguins, taking part in a Toy Show quiz and designing some jumpers for Ryan to wear on the night! And of course, enjoying Science Week – with Eoin winning the Paper Aeroplane competition!
Ms Keane’s class used nature to make art, inspired by Andy Goldsworthy. Static electricity helped make our “ghosts” levitate! We had lots of fun on dress up day.

Ms Aherne’s class
Ms Alvey’s class were busy creating some pumpkin art and also designing a Halloween costume for their teacher. In Gaeilge, they wrote some Oíche Shamhna acrostic poems agus bhí siad go híontach :)The boys and girls also showed our support for the boys football team!
