Ms Toland’s class had some delicious pancakes with blueberries and marshmallows for Pancake Tuesday!
Ms Kane’s class had fun learning all about the vet and taking part in role play.
This month Ms Toland’s class learned about the topic of the vet. During role play we pretended we worked in the vet and look after some animal patients. We also built our own vets.
Ms McGloin’s class celebrated Pancake Tuesday with some yummy pancakes and tasty blueberries!
The children in Ms Kane’s class enjoyed learning about Africa and the African Markets. They made African animal masks and constructed an African Market with blocks.. They listened to the story Handa’s Surprise and painted fruit bowls and printed fruits in them. They also learned about owls and listened to the story Owl Babies before printing their own owls. The children had fun making travelling sequences in PE this month.
During the month of January Ms Toland’s class explored the theme of African markets. During aistear they pretended they were at a market stall, they painted fruit bowls like the ones in the story Handa’s Surprise and practiced their cutting with fruit bowls.

In Ms Mc Groarty’s class the children enjoyed learning about Ella’s adventures in Africa.They used fruit to make a print of a fruit bowl from the story Handa’s Surprise.They made masks of some African animals and prints based on the book Owl Babies

Ms McGloin’s class had a great day last Friday! They dressed up in their Christmas jumpers and enjoyed the Panto with some popcorn.
Ms Kane’s class had fun with the theme Santa’s Worksop this month. They also enjoyed the Panto and popcorn.
The children learned all about the hospital in November in Ms Kane’s class. They enjoyed making their own hospitals and being doctors, nurses and patients. They also drew snowmen with chalk. We planted some bulbs too!
During November, Ms McGloin’s class planted bulbs in the soil outside. We are looking forward to seeing them grow. First, they will grow roots. Then, they will grow stems. Next, they will come up over the soil. Finally, we will see plants and flowers. Each of us got a bulb to plant in the soil. We even saw some worms in the soil! It was very exciting.
Ms McGroarty’s class: The theme for November was The Hospital. For Science week they grew gummy bears and made rainbows from skittles

Ms Kane’s class enjoyed an autumn walk and saw the Bug Hotel. They also enjoyed listening to stories in the library.

Ms McGloin’s class made some spooooky ghosts for Halloween this month!
Ms Toland’s class were learning lots of nursery rhymes such as Humpty Dumpty and Jack and Jill. They made Humpty Dumptys and all created our their self portraits! They all look beautiful!
