The children in Ms Walsh’s class are learning all about the people that work at the zoo and the animals they take care of. They will be very well informed for their upcoming school tour to Dublin Zoo in June!

The children in Ms Walsh’s class enjoyed a wonderful writer’s workshop with a real life author, Anna Callaly who wrote a beautiful children’s book ‘Thinking Star’.

Ms.Ryan has been on teaching practice the last 4 weeks in Ms.Higgins’ class and the children completed some wonderful activities with her including some beautiful butterflies, some 3-D houses and designing their own jerseys. We will miss her terribly in Senior Infants. Thank you Ms.Ryan for everything!
The children in Ms. Walsh’s Senior Infant Class had so much fun exploring the theme of ‘Sport’ during the month of February. They took part in lots of activities including – Role Play in the Sport’s Shop, Art & Craft Activities, Play Dough activities and Construction & Small World Activities, using the big blocks.

Ms.Higgins’ class had a very exciting week during science week and got to become scientists doing lots of fun experiments. They made a rainbow using warm water and skittles, saw gummy bears grow bigger by leaving them in water overnight and created an explosion using coke and mentos! What fun!
Ms Lawlor’s class made funny face cookies during our November Aistear cafe. They ate them after, they were yummy!

Happy Halloween from Ms Hegarty’s class

Ms.Higgins’ class went on an Autumn walk to spot some signs of Autumn and we found loads! Lots of conkers and red,yellow and brown leaves. We really enjoyed looking at the bug hotel too and spotted some spiders!
Ms Lawlor’s class enjoyed their first trip to the library. They also took part in some great teamwork and learning about Autumn.

The children in Ms. Hegarty’s class are learning all about the theme of School this month. The children had lots of fun this week playing school in the role play area, building schools in the sand, constructing schools with blocks and cutting out images related to school.
