Gallery – First Class
In December, Ms S Walsh’s 1st class enjoyed decorating a Christmas cookie and making Snow Globe Christmas decorations with our photos inside! More recently in January & February, we have been learning about using Base 10 blocks to represent bigger numbers.
January and February in Ms. Considine’s class have been very busy! We learnt all about Mexico and did some Day of the Dead art. We learnt lots about farming and were inspired to create these wonderful pigs using watercolours. We have been doing lots of dancing including the Macarena, cha cha slide and our very own dances we came up with in groups!
November has been a busy month in Ms. S Walsh’s 1st class. For Science Week we did an experiment to make cloud dough by mixing corn flour and conditioner. We have been learning about Place Value in Maths and using concrete materials to show this. We have also enjoyed making some Winter/Christmas themed art to decorate our room and hallway for the Christmas fair!
October in Ms. Considine’s: We enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and creating beautiful pumpkin art!
Happy Halloween from Ms. R Walsh’s Class. Things got very spooky!! We really enjoyed our pumpkin investigations and even used witches as targets in PE!
The children in Ms. Reilly’s class made a great effort with their Halloween outfits as we prepared for Midterm break.
